Who we are

Realize is a verified-identity messaging platform operated by Andrew Haydel. Contact: drew.haydel@gmail.com.

What we collect

When you create an account, we collect:

• Your chosen @handle and display name
• Identity verification data (selfie and, optionally, government ID), processed by our verification partner Persona
• Your email address (used only for account recovery)
• Messages, photos, and voice recordings you send through the app
• Standard device and app usage information (device type, app version, crash logs)

How we use your information

• We use your identity verification data solely to confirm you are a real person. Your government ID image is deleted after verification is complete. Only your verification status (verified or ID-verified) is retained.
• We use your @handle to enable other users to find and message you.
• We process messages, photos, and voice recordings to deliver them to your intended recipients. We do not read, scan, or analyze message content.
• We use device and usage information to diagnose problems and improve the app.

Who we share data with

• Persona (withpersona.com): processes identity verification on our behalf. Persona's privacy practices are governed by their privacy policy.
• Supabase (supabase.com): hosts our backend infrastructure including message storage.
• Agora (agora.io): provides voice and video calling infrastructure.
• We do not sell your data to advertisers or third parties.

Encryption

Realize is designed to support end-to-end encryption. We use industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest, with full end-to-end message encryption being implemented in upcoming releases.

Your rights

You may contact drew.haydel@gmail.com to request:

• A copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion of your account, which will remove your profile, messages, and any retained verification status from our systems within 30 days

In-app account deletion will be available in upcoming releases.

Children

Realize is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email.
